UV curable inks comprise the compounds necessary for the photochemical reaction that is started by the exposure to UV light: monomers and photoinitiators.
The photoinitiators form radicals upon UV exposure and these in turn start up the polymerization of the monomers.
The UV ink derives its color from the pigment dispersion. Many additives are needed to realize all quality aspects, including surfactants, in-can stabilizers, adhesion promoters etc.

KAM-DCA 65 is particularly recommended for TiO2. KAM-DCA 671 is also commonly used when anti-settling properties are needed.
KAM-DCA 402 is especially recommended for resin-free mill-bases/dispersions.
Packaging inks enhance the graphic appearance and contribute to the performance of the package by preserving the quality of the images during the manufacturing, packaging, transportation, and use of the product.
Our additives for packaging inks can help you increase pigment loading levels, improve substrate wetting, and improve the aesthetics and longevity of ink formulations.
Water-based inks are defined as inks that use water as the main solvent for carrying pigment. They are made up mostly of acrylic resins or hybrid blends of acrylic resin and polyurethanes.
The use of water-based printing inks eliminates the need for exhaust air treatment such as solvent combustion, and there are no VOC emissions. Expensive measures for fire protection and work safety, safety during printing and transport as well as during storage are no longer necessary.

Due to good commercial availability and competitive cost, Unsaturated polyester "UP" and Vinyl ester "VE" resins are used in a wide variety of different processes for equally diverse applications, each of which must meet its own unique requirements, e.g. FRP boat hulls, pipes, putties, buttons, wind blades, automotive and truck parts, drainage systems, etc.
KAM Kimya can recommend a set of additives for these applications.

PVC is incredibly versatile. It can be made thick or thin, rigid or pliable, and in practically any colour imaginable. The properties of PVC and other synthetic polymers can be modified by combining them with other ‘ingredients’ or additives like plasticizers.
PVC plastisols are used in various applications ranging from floorings and wall coverings, vinyl, printing inks and textile applications. Our corresponding additive portfolio supports the production processes and helps optimize material properties.
Flexible polyurethane foams are widely used in household applications and in the automotive industry.
High-end color pastes with multiple applications for the coloring of polyether and polyester soles can be very challenging.
Using our special dispersants KAM-DCA 76 and KAM-DCA 111, free-flowing pigments pastes can easily be made.
KAM-DCA 111 is recommended for inorganic pigments.
Thermoplastic materials are a type of plastic polymer material that becomes moldable at certain high temperatures and then becomes solid after cooling.
Thermoplastic materials are used in a large variety of industries and applications such as the automotive industry, electrical and electronics appliances, construction business and film and packaging.
Our range of additives for the thermoplastic materials is limited but will grow in the nearest future.
KAM-DCA 76 and KAM-DCA 192 and KAM-DCA 150 and KAM-DCA 151 are used mostly in liquid color masterbatches.
KAM-DCA 76 and KAM-DCA 111 and KAM-DCA 150 and KAM-DCA 151 are used in solid masterbatches.
KAM-DCA 671 is an economical alternative for all kinds of pigments.
